đź’Ą The Underground Club Changing Postpartum Care

Lately, I’ve been feeling something I think a lot of us share—but don’t say out loud.

That working in holistic postpartum care feels… lonely.

I see what’s happening on social media—the name-calling, the takedowns, the constant battles over evidence and “credibility.” I’ve experienced it myself. I’ve had people dismiss me, insult me, and question my work in ways that were honestly baffling.

And still… we keep going.

Because the truth is, those of us doing this work—functional providers, birth professionals, holistic advocates—we’re kind of like a secret underground club. We see what most don’t. We know what postpartum care could look like. And we’re not waiting for permission to build it.

This week’s podcast is a reminder that you’re not alone in this.

I sat down with Jane Bacher, co-founder of Anya, and it was like sitting with someone who just gets it. We talked about what it really means to blend functional medicine with modern systems—and how hard (and necessary) that work is.

Inside this episode:
✔️ The real reason postpartum care is failing mothers
✔️ Why OBGYNs are telling Jane they’ve never been trained in postpartum nutrition
✔️ How she’s blending ancient practices with clinical research
✔️ And the dream we both have: a postpartum specialist that walks with every mother for an entire year

This episode isn’t just inspiring—it’s grounding. It reminded me that while this work can feel uphill, we are not doing it alone.

You, me, Jane—we’re part of something bigger. A quiet revolution. One that lifts up mothers and the providers who care for them.

You know those people in this work—the ones quietly changing lives in their community, supporting postpartum families in powerful ways, and never asking for recognition?

Let’s change that.

Starting next week, we’re launching a brand-new Postpartum Pro Spotlight in this newsletter—a space to highlight the incredible providers, advocates, educators, doulas, midwives, therapists, and healers who are doing this work with heart and purpose.

Whether they’re running a full-time practice, sharing gold on Instagram, supporting families on the ground, or educating others in their field… we want to shine a light on them.

🫶 Why? Because we rise together.

In a world that often tears down or ignores the people doing meaningful work, we’re creating space to lift each other up—to build trust, amplify voices, and remind each other: you’re not doing this alone.

💌 Here’s how it works:
You nominate someone amazing.
We feature them in the newsletter.
Our whole community shows up for them—likes, shares, reviews, referrals, and love.

👉 Nominate a Postpartum Pro here
It takes just a minute, and it could mean the world to someone.

Let’s make this the kind of community that sees each other. That celebrates the work, the heart, and the hustle.

Who’s in your world that deserves the spotlight?
