Gut Instincts, A New Masterclass, & Candid Postpartum Convos
In Today's Issue:
â Gut Instincts over checklists.
đ˛ Upcoming masterclass for providers!
đŻ Candid conversations (WHEW!)
đ˛ It's so good, it was stolen...
Ever since I was an infant, I was often in and out of hospitals for extreme intestinal bleedingâ and no one could figure out why.
By the time I was five, the bleeding had mostly subsided, but then something else emerged. I was pale, with sulken eyes, always tired, thin and frail, and my hair was so thin you could see my scalp.
I specifically remember that everywhere we went, strangers would stop my parents with that dreaded question: âWhatâs wrong with your kid?â (Imagine how that carries with me today). I remember my parents feeling imbarrassed. I remember that constant hunt the thing that made *me* wrong.
My parents did their best to find answers. Doctor after doctor and still no answers. Then, after a multitude of new offices, a million blood draws, and endless tests, I stepped into a new doctorâs office.
The doctor took one freaking look at me and said, âOh. She's anemic!â
In that moment, I finally had an answer. I got the medicine I needed, and I got better.
That doctor didnât need a battery of testsâshe trusted her intuition, just like the generations of healers before the era of high-tech protocols.
This story is a powerful reminder for all of us. It shows that while modern care often prioritizes tests and protocols, true healing demands we trust our inner knowingâa wisdom that has been passed down for generations.
Today, as providers, we see firsthand how the stripping away of intuition in postpartum care leaves our mothers feeling unseen and unheard.
In our latest podcast episode, I delve into this very issue: how our innate intuition has been sidelined and why reclaiming it is essential for genuine, holistic healing.

đŻ Conversations That Are Lighting Me Up
Iâm excited to share two recent podcast episodes that truly sparked some real talk in our community. First up, I sat down with Jojo Hogan of the Slow Postpartum Movement. Jojo, a graduate of our Postpartum Nutrition Certification Program, opened up about her experience, the half-truths that still plague postpartum care, and so much more. Itâs a conversation that cuts through the noise and gets to the heart of what really matters.
