I am right there in the thick of it with you as I have a 16 month old daughter and I know navigating postpartum nutrition is not easy and I am here to take that load of your plate (pun intended).
Katie is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Postpartum Nutrition Specialist, and yoga instructor (adult and children).
Katie will be adding the HTMA- Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis test into her practice come the new year.
How I Help Mothers:
My birth and postpartum experience is what fueled my passion for postpartum nutrition. Through my experience, I learned that beyond the one (or two) postpartum check-ups there is virtually no support for mamas. That was mind-blowing to me. Moms do not receive any information on much other than birth control and how to look out for infections. I was shocked. Imagine how the healing journey could change if moms received ways to support their healing with nutrition? Just think how the postpartum time would shift if moms knew that certain nutrients can support energy levels, mood changes, rate of healing, and more. I bet moms would look at food differently if they were taught that while they are breastfeeding, even if her stores are low, the milk will pull what it needs from her body to ensure her baby is getting what he/she needs.
This is why I am here to combine my knowledge in postpartum nutrition and my knowledge in nutritional therapy, to help guide you through this transformative time and help you heal so you can show up feeling healed and ready to care for yourself and your family.
